Sun Spots



The Great Spots, The Sun Spots are the cooler (and thus darker) regions on the sun where the magnetic field loops up and out of the solar surface. These are very interesting to view on the extremely bright surface on the Sun. 

These dark spots, some as large as 50,000 miles in diameter, are movingly bodies move across the surface of the sun, they continuously contracting and expanding bodies as they go. This is a strange but powerful phenomena on the surface of Sun.
